What Is the Quality Score and How Does It Work?

Quality Score helps you measure the quality of your tours on TourRadar. It is designed to give you more visibility and control over the various ways you can optimize your tours.

Following extensive traveler research, we have broken down the Quality Score into three areas that matter most to travelers: Content, Trust and Service.  When you click on the Quality Score for any of your tours, you will be able to see how many points your tour has in each of these areas.

There are a variety of ways to improve your Quality Scores - and instructions on how to do so can also be found in your Operator Dashboard.  The maximum score you can reach for any tour is 100 points.

To ensure travelers are viewing only tours with future availability we have now disabled Quality Scores on any tours that do not have future available departures.  

This means travelers won’t be able to find this particular adventure as the adventure will be removed from TourRadar search results.

To reactivate your Quality Score and have your tours listed on search pages, all you will need to do is load future departure dates, and ensure the dates are updated regularly. If you no longer wish to advertise a particular tour just simply pause the tour until you are ready.

Content - 35 Points

Departure Dates:

  • 0 points for no future tour departure dates
  • 5 points for departure dates loaded within the next 12 months
  • 10 points for departure dates within 0-12 & 12-24 months
  • Add/Edit Tour Pricing and Availabilty

Itinerary Details:

  • 0 points for less than 20 characters per day in the tour itinerary
  • 15 points for 20 or more characters per day completed in the tour itinerary
  • Add/Edit your Tour Itineraries

High-Resolution Photos:

  • 0 points for 0-4 high-resolution photos
  • 5 points for 5+ high-resolution (min. 1024 x 768) photos
  • Add Photos to a Tour

Properties:

  • 0 points for incomplete tour properties (additional info)
  • 5 points for completed tour properties (additional info)
  • Add/Edit Tour Properties

    Trust - 30 Points

    Total Reviews:


    Verified Reviews:

    • 0 points for average review score of 4.0 or less from TourRadar travelers
    • 10 points for average review score of 4.1 or higher from TourRadar travelers
       

    Review Rating:

    • 0 points for average review rating of 4.0 or less
    • 5 points for average review rating of 4.1 or higher
       

    Review Comments:

    • 0 points for tours with less than 50% review comments
    • 5 points for tours with more than 50% review comments

    Service - 35 Points

    Instant Book:

    • 0 points for tours without instant book enabled
    • 15 points for tours with instant book enabled
    • Instant Book 


    Response Time:

    • 0 points for a response time of more than 24hrs
    • 5 points for a response time of 6-24hrs
    • 10 points for a response time of less than 6hrs
       

    Cancellation Rate:

    • 0 points for tours with more than 10% cancelled bookings by operator
    • 5 points for tours with 5-10% cancelled bookings by operator
    • 10 points for tours with less than 5% cancelled bookings by operator

    Where can you see your Quality Score? 

    We have updated where the Quality Score can be seen in the Operator Dashboard for the convenience and ease of viewing what needs updating. 

    You can now see the Quality Score in the Adventures tab or by clicking on each specific tour.
